Charitable Donations
How to Request a Donation
In an effort to support our local community, Ski Butternut contributes to select
charitable organizations on behalf of its employees and companies where we have a
business relationship. Every year, Ski Butternut assists with the fundraising efforts
for a number of local organizations, annually donating more than $100,000 in goods and services
for these worthy programs. Programs include local: Fire - EMS - Police & Ambulance crews,
our local Elementary, Middle, High Schools and local private schools. All Schools we choose to support offer
organized school ski programs or group trips to our mountain. In addition we support local Youth & Scouting organizations, Like Railroad Street Youth Project and YES - (Youth
Enrichment Services) out of Boston, which provides inner city youth an enriching outdoor
experience that they could not afford otherwise, Educational Scholarships, NPR, Public
Television, the Local Food Bank, numerous local United Way programs, etc.. Further, Ski Butternut has for years
supported a local food for the hungry program preparing hot meals for 100's of people and
delivering them to local churches on 18 or more days each year.
Please understand we are much more likely to donate to causes right here in our backyard,
or to a school that has a long history of bringing their ski club to our mountain. There
are many worthy charities out there. Ski Butternut understandably can not be expected to support them
all. Please understand we currently receive an inordinate amount of donation requests. We
simply do not have the manpower to respond to them all, nor would that be the best use of our time. If we choose to support your cause we will
mail the donation. Follow-up calls to insure that we have received your request are not
encouraged!.
In an effort to continue to support not-for-profit organizations Ski Butternut is pleased
to provide charitable contributions in the form of Ski Butternut lift tickets, group lessons
and rental vouchers or tubing center vouchers to not-for-profit organizations that meet our
donation criteria as outlined below.
Please be advised that the area can only consider donation requests from local based
organizations, and/or causes that support skiing or snowboarding specific programs. If you are interested in submitting
a charitable request, please review the criteria as outlined below:
Requests must be received a minimum of 60 days prior to the event date.
The standard donation is one of the following:
- Two one-day adult lift ticket vouchers which include a group lesson for any ability and rental
equipment vouchers. These vouchers are valid through the end of the season in which they are
issued. (We are usually open through the first weekend in April.)
Value is approximately $125/each voucher so total value is $250 for the pair.
- Two one-day tubing vouchers. Value $18/e so a total of $36 for the pair.
- Please understand - we never donate Season Passes or equipment from the Butternut Ski & Board Shop. These requests will not be considered!
- If you are looking for a fundraising idea, consider holding a Tubing night for your group.
We will donate $6 (= 33%) from each $18 tubing voucher your group is responsible for selling on
your specific tubing night. Email me if you are interested in learning more about this fun
fundraising option. info@skibutternut.com
If your cause matches the above criteria then eMail your donation request for consideration
