Ski RACING PROGRAMS for kids, Jr's and Adults

Ski Butternut offers a wide array of professionally coached ski racing programs for kids, juniors and adults. 
Explore all that we offer by reviewing the selections under the RACING headings on the left or download our 2013-14 Ski Butternut Adult & Jr. Programs & Race Guide as a PDF. You can place your order by filling in the online ORDER FORM or use the order form that is part of the PDF above and FAX or MAIL your order in. If you are going to be coming to the mountain you can purchase any program at the Main Office in person.  Race programs can not be ordered over the phone (Requires a signed release of Liability) but we are happy to answer any questions you may have - Call 413.528.2000 x111.

COACHES on our SKI RACING TEAM STAFF:

Ski Butternut's Ski & Snowboard School is a member of the prestigious Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors(AASI).  Our Racing and Coaching staff members are trained through programs and clinics offered by PSIA, AASI and specifically in ski racing technique by the United States Ski Coaches Association (USSCA).

Leading our coaching staff is Dr. Don Gulick (Level III USSCA Ski Race Coach)

Make sure to order your Ski Butternut SEASON PASS as early as possible! Quantities are limited and prices increase on December 1st.

Members of the Ski Butternut TriState, Interclub or Development race programs - should join the Butternut Race Club Facebook Page  & visit often the NEW Butternut Race Club Website where you should be able to find detailed information on the programs, Posts by coaches and the latest winter race schedule as well as connect with other members of the Ski Butternut - Ski Race Teams. 

TRI-STATE & REGIONAL COMPETITIONS ARE BASED UPON THESE AGE CATEGORIES:

  • U21: Ages 18-20
     
  • U18: Ages 16-17
     
  • U16: Ages 14-15
     
  • U14: Ages 12-13
     
  • U12: Ages 10-11 - You must be 10 years of age to compete in Tri-State - effective winter 2012.
  •  
  • U10: Ages 8-9 - This category is for kids in the Development & Interclub race programs, as there are no Tri-State competitions for kids under 10 years of age.
Ski Butternut is a leading trainer of young children, junior and teens in ski racing!


RACER HIGHLIGHTS

08-09 Highlights

Vermont J3 Champion comes out of Ski Butternut Race Program
Graham Quisenberry won the overall Vermont J3 championship for the 2008-09 season.
Graham took first place in each of the three GS runs. Well done Graham!

05-06 Highlight

Graham Quisenberry (JIV racer), as a 6th-grade student from CT, Graham won the slalom and came in 2nd in the giant slalom. He placed 2nd overall at the JIV Championships. The JIV Ski Championships feature the top 11 and 12-year-old racers from MA, CT, & RI. Graham also qualified for the JIV shootout held at Sugarbush Vermont (this event determines the east-coast representatives to the Whistler Cup, an international giant slalom ski race featuring the top junior competitors from all over the world).

Chris Judge (JIII racer), as a 9th grader in Wilton, Connecticut won the giant slalom and took 4th in the slalom, placing 2nd overall at the TriState JIII Championships. The JIII championships feature the top 14 and 15-year-old ski racers from MA, CT, & RI. Chris, who qualified for the Junior Olympics at Whiteface in NY, is also the top skier on his high school ski team, placing 12th overall at the Connecticut Interscholastic Ski League Championships.
