This half-day program introduces young skiers (ages 6-10 years of age) to alpine racing. The primary focus of the program is on developing strong fundamental skiing skills, which are then applied to FUN (non-competitive) racing drills and games. This is a great program for kids to explore their interest in alpine racing! These are proven techniques that help children develop slalom and giant slalom racing skills. Kids will use their newly learned alpine racing skills to enhance their natural skiing abilities.
The Development Race Program starts on Saturday, Dec. 31st and meets every Saturday and Sunday from 9a to 11a, ending with a race on Saturday, February 25th.
Participants in this program must be able to ski intermediate terrain and ride all lifts at Ski Butternut on their own!
