This half-day program introduces young skiers (ages 6-10 years of age) to alpine racing. The primary focus of the program is on developing good fundamental skiing skills, which are then applied to FUN (non-competitive) racing drills and games. This is a great program for kids to explore their interest in alpine racing! Coaches will incorporate proven techniques that help children develop slalom and giant slalom racing skills. Kids will use their newly learned alpine racing skills to enhance their natural skiing abilities.
The Development Race Program starts on Saturday, Dec. 29th and meets every Saturday and Sunday from 9a to 11a, ending with a race on Saturday, February 23rd.
Participants in this program must be able to ski intermediate terrain and ride ALL lifts at Ski Butternut ON THEIR OWN!

The Teams Facebook page offers detailed information on the club and important information including yearly race schedules, directions to races, photos of the kids in action as well as announcements about social events. If you child races in any program at Ski Butternut then join today. This is not an open group you must send a request to become a member.
