8/20/2011 Great Barrington 250th FIREWORKS & Fireman's Muster
Fireworks will kick off after Dusk. Muster takes place throughout the day.
9/17-21/2011 Tour DaVita Bike Race
A 240 mile race over 4 days through the beautiful MA & CT countryside undertaken to raise funds for kidney disease awareness & prevention. Participants will use the Ski Butternut grounds as a staging area to prepare for the next days race.

1/29/2012 Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge. A fun dual GS style race will take place on the Main Street Race course. Prizes, sampling of Mountain Dew & Pepsi products, music and more will resonate from the Upper Lodge.
A fun family event ideal for all intermediate skiers and snowboarders.

NATO Stands for North American Telemark Organization - Come take a 2 day Telemark clinic.
Cost $190 for 2 days of clinics.

2/15/2012 - 70+ Club Race Day
Members of the 70+ Ski Club will take to the Main Street race course. Come participate in this hotly contested race event or come enjoy watching the skill and determination of these veteran racers. Racers will be put into the following categories 70-74, 75-79,80-84, 85-89, 90+. Registration takes place in the morning in the Lower lodge at the Ski School desk. Race usually starts at 11:00 a.m. and runs till finished usually 12:30. Membership in the 70+ Club is required. Sign up the day of the event. Better yet sign up online. Come dressed in your oldest outfit. Do you have that Neon colored 1-piece, how about that CB Pullover or those oh-so-tight Roffe stretch pants. Wear what you dare. So reach deep into your closet for this one. And if you got it - flaunt it.
3/19/2012 - $25 LIFT TICKETS - every day to end of season.
Lift ticket rates are reduced - yet the snow cover is often still at its best. Sunshine and a deep base are coupled with slightly warmer temps to make for exceptional skiing weather. Come enjoy our affordable end of season $25 Lift Ticket special. Yes the $25 Lift Ticket rate is valid on weekends to right through the end of the winter.

Registration: Cruiser Deck 10:30 -11:30 day of event.
Lift Ticket or Season Pass + Terrain Park Pass required to enter the event.
Release must be signed by a parent or guardian (if you are under 18 years of age).
Entry fee: $20 Open & $15 for kids 12 & Under.
Entry fee must be paid in CASH.
Winner take all CASH prizes for open category.
Cool Prizes for the younger category.
All other rules reviewed at the 12:20 competitor meeting.

3/25/2012 - Parrott Head Festival a tribute to Jimmy Buffett & his music.
Where: Lower Lodge back deck
When: High Noon to 2:00 p.m.
Come dressed for the occasion sporting your Hawaiian shirts. Bring a relaxed attitude & come ready to enjoy some Buffett tunes on the deck. We'll be serving up: Cheeseburgers in Paradise, and some other specialty beech foods, Yes there will be: Booze in the blender for the 21 & up crowd. 12 noon to 2:00 Games and activities for kids to include: A limbo contest, Hula Hoop competition, Deck Bowling, and for the entire family an on-mountain Scavenger Hunt with prizes.
