Our groomers take pride in their work. Recognized as some of the best in the business, they work through the night and early morning hours to perform their magic - creating a fresh carpet of powdery corduroy for our guests; or building awesome hits in our terrain parks. Ski Butternut's groomers know how to create perfection on our slopes, transforming what seemed like a skied-off run at 3:30 on a busy holiday weekends into a meticulously groomed, silky smooth carpet of CORDUROY covering the slopes the next morning. Add a little fresh natural snow to the mix and all I can say is grab your camera and freshly tuned skis, it's time to let 'em RIP!
Everyone should enjoy the exhilarating experience of carving tracks into fresh crisp corduroy in the morning. This is easy to accomplish if you join us midweek, when the mountain is quiet and the trails are sparsely populated. And then when you get done laying your signature first tracks out under the lift - go backup and see if you can connect the spots to make your own set of Figure Eights (8). It's easy midweek because the traffic at Ski Butternut is usually very light Monday through Friday.
