Ski Butternut Cross Country Center

Our Cross Country Center will remain CLOSED for winter 2009-10 season!
WHY - We couldn't find the RIGHT person to operate the center prior to the start of the season.
Plans are underway to try and reopen the Cross Country Center for next winter.

In the past the Butternut Cross Country Center has offered 8 km of groomed track trails with rentals and lessons also available.

The trail system wanders over varying terrain, through a beautiful wooded area, near the base of the mountain. The trails offer easy access to the Upper Lodge and the downhill skiing facilities at Ski Butternut. The Cross Country Center was open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and over all holiday periods (same as those designated for the downhill ski area).

Natural snow is necessary to open the Cross Country trails as there is currently no snowmaking system covering Ski Butternut's Cross Country Trail network.

the Cross Country Center in the past has offered adult and children's Cross Country Ski Rentals and Cross Country Ski Lessons.
Telemark lessons are available through the alpine ski school but only by advance reservation: CALL 413-528-2000 x 150.
