$75 - 1st Timers LIFT, LESSON and RENTAL Package is a one-day package which includes a beginner area only LIFT PASS, special 1st-Timers Group Ski LESSON plus RENTAL ski equipment. Skis which are specifically designed to make learning to turn, stop and negotiate the beginner slopes will be issued to you. The slightly beveled edges help you to turn and learn to skis easier. 1st-Timer Lift Ticket, also called a lift pass, provides access to the Paddy Wagon beginner lift and all 4 of our Learning Carpets, as well as the learning terrain known as the base area; comprised of the Paddy's & Scooter beginner terrain.
On Weekends & over all Holidays 1st Timers SKI LESSONS start at the following times:
9:30a / 10a / 10:30a / 11a / 12p / 1p or 2p (as needed). Midweek 1st timer lessons start at 10:30a / 12:30p or 2p.
NOTE: Lessons for children ages 4 to 6 years of age will only go out at 10:30a and 2p.

Remember It takes 3 to 4 days on snow to really get the feel of skiing. This FUN winter sport is certainly worth the investment. After mastering the basics of the sport you can plan to enjoy a lifetime of fun on the slopes. You're here because you just expressed an interest in learned to ski. We've made your return trip affordable too.
$100 - All Mountain LIFT, LESSON & RENTAL Package. (Ideal for your 2nd, 3rd & 4th days on snow.)
This affordable package includes everything you need to build confidence and keep progressing with skiing skills. Package includes an all-mountain LIFT TICKET, (this means you can go anywhere on the mountain your skills can handle - including the beginner trails from the mountains summit.), RENTAL equipment (skis, boots, binding and poles) and another Group LESSON (at your ability level). Lessons are fun, they enhance your on mountain safety and they help you continue to learn and progress quickly.
Learning to ski takes time (like any sport). You need to become comfortable with the gear and the environment. Our professional instructors will help you build confidence and help you become proficient quickly. We encourage all beginners to go at least three to four times their first season. After just 3 or 4 visits, each with a lesson you'll be skiing the mountain, smoothly linking turns & thoroughly enjoying your time on snow!

Ski Butternut Ski School Director Dick McCann suggest that all 1st Timers commit to at least going 3 to 4 times their first winter.
Making the commitment to go multiple times in your 1st season is by far the best way to learn to ski and progress quickly.
