$75 - 1st Timers LIFT, LESSON and RENTAL Ski Package
Is a one-day beginners ski package which includes a beginner ski area only LIFT PASS, special 1st-Timers Group Ski LESSON plus RENTAL ski equipment. Skis specifically designed to make learning to turn, stop and negotiate the beginner ski slopes will be issued to you. The slightly beveled edges help you to turn and learn to skis easier. 1st-Timer Ski Lift Ticket, also called a beginner ski lift pass, provides access to the Paddy Wagon beginner lift and all 4 of our Learning Carpets, as well as the learn to ski terrain known as the base area or bunny hill; comprised of the Paddy's & Scooter beginner ski terrain. This is some of the best terrain for learning to ski close to NY City or CT. Ski Butternut is the #1 place to learn to ski in the Berkshires!
On Weekends & over all Holidays 1st Timers SNOWBOARD LESSONS start at any of the following times:
9:30a / 10a / 10:30a / 11a / 12p. / 1p or 2p (as needed). Midweek 1st timer packages start at 10:30a, 12:30 or 2p.

NOTE: Lessons for children ages 4 to 6 years of age will only go out at 10:30a and 2p every day.

Remember It takes 3 to 4 days on snow to really get the feel of skiing. This FUN winter sport is certainly worth the investment. After mastering the basics of the sport you can plan to enjoy a lifetime of fun on the mountain. You're here because you just expressed an interest in learned to ski. Don't stop there - make a plan to come back to Ski Butternut enough that first winter that you become proficient, and can enjoy all that the mountain has to offer with family and friends. We've made your return trip affordable too.
$110 - All Mountain LIFT, LESSON & RENTAL weekend/Holiday Ski Package. Prices are lower for Jr's & kids. (Ideal for your 2nd, 3rd & 4th days out skiing on snow.) This affordable beginner ski package includes everything you need to build confidence and keep progressing with your skiing skills. Our All Mountain Package includes an all-mountain LIFT TICKET, (this means you can go anywhere on the mountain your skills can handle - including the beginner trails from the mountains summit.), RENTAL ski equipment (skis, boots, binding and poles) and another Group Ski LESSON (at your ability level). Lessons are fun, they enhance your on mountain safety and they help you continue to learn and progress quickly.
Learning to ski takes time (like any sport). You need to become comfortable with the gear and the environment. Our professional ski instructors will help you build confidence and help you become proficient quickly. We encourage all beginner skiers to go at least three to four times their first season. After just 3 or 4 visits, provided you take a lesson, you'll be skiing from the mountains summit, smoothly linking turns & thoroughly enjoying your time on snow!

Ski Butternut Ski School Director, Jay Barranger suggest that all 1st Timers commit to at least going 3 to 4 times their first winter.
Making the commitment to go multiple times in your 1st ski seasons is by far the best way to learn to ski and progress quickly.
How Good Is the Savings?
