Video (broadband)

On December 17th, Get Up Skate, Snow, Surf & Lifestyle Shop, hosted the Early Season Rail Jam in the Twist Terrain Park at Ski Butternut. The jam format consisted of 50 riders stepping it up on a 3 hit line. Rolling into a flat to down box with a barrel stuck in the middle of the jib, then to a flat down flat rail and finishing off with a small quarter with a log as coping, locals and riders from across New England brought out the big guns on the small hits.

Look for some of our future featured riders in the video, like Wes Hart killing it and Rick Jennings filming with the fisheye.

.::Butternut Featured Riders::.

Wes Hart:

This 17 year old local shredder own's the park and makes sure all visiting riders know who they're up against in comps. Wes is a shop rider for Get Up.

  p: genius advertising!

Tom Fucini:

Hailing from the "860", Bristol, CT to be exact, Tom rock's his skier steeze and fur lined helmet at Butternut on his days off.

  p: "Look at my stance, I'm sooo steezey"!

Ian Schumacher:

Another local, Ian adds to the growing label that is Get Up and it's unofficial slogan, "have fun with it!".

  p: Donkey Kong!

Josh Morse:

Your classic Eastern rider, terrain park artist and all-round great guy, it is rumored that Josh doesn't sleep during the winter months. Sleep or no sleep, you can't deny the technical prowess of this throwback to a simpler time, when it was all about a good time, no matter what you encounter.

  p: trees trees

Rick Jennings:

East Coast riders don't have the privilage of letting their shred sticks detune. When he's not cruising the park, filming or being filmed, Rick is heading up the repair shop and making sure your base is flatter than a Nebraskan corn field. Winner of the 2004-2005 "Butternut: Mountain Style Award", you can check out his steeze on the mountain or getting urban on a local handrail.

  p: fashcore(white pants) meets slashcore.
