SNOWMAKING FACTS:
At peak we had 175 snowguns blasting. The pumps were pushing upwards of 3,350 GPM (gallons of water per minute). Think about it - that's a lot of water.

Cruiser	Closed	-	-	Wide, forgiving - ideal for beginners & aspiring intermediates. A SLOW ZONE area - Go Fast - Lose Pass! Also home to our Progression Park which is located on the right side as you go down the trail.
Crosstown	Closed	-	YES	A beautiful meandering trail for beginners.
Nuthatch	Closed	-	YES	Best for beginners who have mastered how to turn & stop! SLOW ZONE - Go Fast - Lose Pass! Best accessed from our Highline Quad.
Pied Piper	Closed	-	YES	SLOW ZONE - Go Fast - Lose Pass! - Easiest way off the mountains summit!
Uptown	Closed	-	YES	A beautiful winding trail from the top of the triple chairlift!
Paddy's	Closed	-	-	Where 1st Timers will spend most of their day!
Scooter	Closed	-	YES	3 Carpet lifts make learning to ski or snowboard easier! 1st-Time skiers head this way!
SKIwee	Closed	-	YES	Kiddie Land - with a dedicated carpet lift which makes learning easy & fun for our littlest guests.
Dipsy	Closed	-	YES	My choice for prettiest trail - Bring the camera!
Upper Applejack	Closed	-	YES	Enjoy this slightly more challenging start to a true classic New England style trail! One of Channing's favorite trails.
Lower Applejack	Closed	-	YES	Finish on this classic NE trail as it winds through stately hemlocks & birch trees.
Hob Nob	Closed	-	YES	Show off your style to those on the Top Flight Quad chairlift. Definitely worth a run most mornings! Leads you right to the Lower Lodge.
Main Street	OPEN	-	YES	A wide-open steeper section of the trail offers plenty of challenge and fun! With a race course located on the steeper section.
Twist	OPEN	-	YES	See the terrain Park report below.
Fiddler	OPEN	-	YES	Provides easiest access to Lower Downspout and the Triple chairlift. A very pretty trail - great views of the Housatonic valley!
Freewheeler	OPEN	-	YES	A great place to let them fly! This is my favorite trail on the mt. for all out cruising. The new snowmaking equipment installed here last summer has made this a winner of a trail.
Lucifer's Leap	OPEN	-	YES	Great snow can usually be found here. Take that leap of faith and come dance with the devil!
Whip	Closed	-	YES	A slightly steeper slope than Pied Piper that provides quick access to; Main Street, Nuthatch or Crosstown.
Chute	Closed	-	YES	Hint - this is one of the least used trails on the mountain - take it for a quick spin or just a quick diversion!
Race Course	Closed	-	YES	Midweek you'll find a free race course available almost daily. On weekends we offer a paid course in the afternoon and race training for our race team kids in the morning.

Downspout - No More BUMPS / MOGULS for this year : View Pictures	Closed	-	YES usually with BIG SOFT Moguls on the steep section!	Enjoy the steeper pitch home of our steepest bump run. Cruise down the remaining corduroy and if you like hit the Jersey Booter bottom right.

Tubing Center	CLOSED	-	-	CLOSED - Tubing offers up to 7 lanes. Most children ages 4 and up will enjoy this activity. We have 200 tubes and a handle tow that drags you on your tube up to the starting point of the chutes. Although some kids choose to walk up so they can get more runs in. They'll sleep well after a few hours in the tubing center.

Top Flight Quad	Closed	Weekend & holidays 8:15am - 4pm Midweek (non holiday) 9am - 4pm	This lift takes you to the 1800ft summit of Warner mountain! Look for the WISHING TREE a few hundred yards from the summit on the right - It'll be laced with beads.
Highline Quad Over Main St.	Closed	WE & Holidays 8:15am - 4pm MW 1:30 to 4pm as needed.	Also open mid-week as needed for our afternoon school programs and on busy days.
Overbrook Triple	Closed	WE & Holidays 9:30am - 3:30pm MW 9:30am - 3:30pm	Serves some beautiful intermediate and expert terrain on the right side of our mountain!
Paddy Wagon Double	Closed	WE & Holidays 8:15am - 4pm MW 9am - 4pm	Serves the beginner hill and learning terrain.
Scooter Double	Closed	only if needed!	Serves the beginner hill and learning terrain. As a result of our addition of 4 carpet lifts in this area - this lift will rarely run.
Cruiser Quad	Closed	WE & Holidays 8:15am - 4pm	An ideal place to head when you know how to turn and stop. Great for families with young kids.
Poma Lift	Closed	only if needed.	With the Main Street Quad there is little reason to open the Poma.
SKIwee FLYING CARPET #4	Closed	WE & Holidays 9am - 4pm	Bring them here and watch them smile!
Beginner Flying Carpet #1	OPEN	WE & Holidays 8:30am - 4pm MW 1:30am - 4pm - as needed	This gentle carpet lift is easy for kids and all beginners to ride!
Beginner Flying Carpet #2	Closed	WE & Holidays 8:30am - 4pm MW 1:30am - 4pm - as needed	This is step 2 for beginners - come here when you graduate from carpet lift #1.
Beginner Flying Carpet #3	Closed	WE & Holidays 8:30am - 4pm MW 1:30am - 4pm - as needed	Step 3 - You are now riding from the top of the beginner hill. Master this and you'll graduate to the chairlifts. Your next challenge will be learning to ride Paddy's or the Scooter chairlifts.
Tubing Center	Closed Plan to OPEN starting 12/23/2010	TUBING CENTER HOURS: 10am to 8pm Saturdays & most Holidays. 10am to 5pm - Sunday (Note: we'll offer extended hours, till 8 p.m., on the following three Sundays 12/26, 1/16 & 2/20/2011) 11am to 4pm - Christmas Day - Dec. 25, 2010. 10am to 5pm - MLK Monday Jan. 17, 2011. Non-holiday Mondays through Fridays The Ski Butternut Tubing Center will be CLOSED. Tubing Center will be open Mon. through Fridays over the Christmas, MLK & the President's holiday periods as indicated above.	Tubing is CLOSED for the season. Next winter we will be OPEN Saturdays & Sundays, and DAILY over the Christmas, MLK & Presidents week school holiday periods. Make plans to take a ride in winter 2010-11!
