All 22 Trails are OPEN with Machine Groomed Packed Powder snow. The last storm gave us 2" of fresh snow.

LIFT TICKETS: Midweek/Non-Holiday are: $25for Adult, $20 Jr. & $15 for Kids (excluding Presidents week holiday Feb. 13-21).
Weekends/Presidents holiday week $55
Adult, $45 Jr./Sr. & $20 for Kids.

LIFT HOURS: 9a to 4p Midweek.
8:15a to 4p
on weekends
& daily over the Presidents week holiday period (Feb. 13 - 21).

TUBING: Lift & 7 Chutes run 10a to 8p Saturday Feb. 13 daily right through Sat. Feb 20th.
Tubing will then be open 10a to 5p on Sunday Feb. 21st.

SNOWMAKING: The crew will be back at it again tonight, freshing up conditions on a few trails.

The Bumps/Moguls
on Downspout are back. Main Street will see them groomed in early next week.

SNOWMAKING FACTS:
At peak we had 175 snowguns blasting.
The pumps were pushing upwards of 3,350 GPM (gallons of water per minute). Think about it - that's a lot of water.

Snowfall SNOW: A Storm is brewing for Wednesday and could deliver us anywhere between 3" to 7" or as much as 10" to 12".
YTD Natural Snow TOTAL 41" for winter 2009-10.

NOTE: Ski Butternut usually averages 100 to 110" of natural snow each winter!
Surface BASE: 24" - 48" Machine Groomed - PP. Please understand whenever temperatures eclipse 32 degrees that the mornings snow will become WP as a result of the warmer temperatures and skier traffic.

Lifts OPEN

10 on Weekends: 3 Quads: Top Flight Quad - High Line Quad & Cruiser Quad Chairlifts, the Triple Chair, Paddy's double chairlift, 4 Carpets and the Tubing Center handle tow.

4-8 midweek: Top Flight Quad, Triple Chair, Paddy's double chairlift and as needed 2 to 4 Carpets. The Highline Quad usually opens around 1:30 in the afternoon to assist with our local school programs.

WEATHER: Tuesday - Mostly Sunny! Temps at 9 a.m. 19 degrees rising to a high of 30 degrees. Winds out of the WNW at 5 to 7 mph.

FORECAST:
Wednesday - SNOW STORM! Temps at 9 a.m. 22 degrees rising to a high of 28 degrees. Snow throughout the day. Projections vary right now possibility of 3 to 7 inches or as much as 10 to 12 inches.

Hand & Toe Warmers along with Turtle Fur Neckies can drastically cut the chill, available in the Butternut Ski Shop.

  Hob Nob OPEN - YES Show off your style to those on the Top Flight Quad chairlift. Definitely worth a run most mornings! Leads you right to the Lower Lodge.

  Fiddler OPEN Thursday Night YES
Provides easiest access to Lower Downspout and the Triple chairlift. A very pretty trail - great views of the Housatonic valley!
  Freewheeler OPEN Thursday Night YES A great place to let them fly! This is my favorite trail on the mt. for all out cruising. The new snowmaking equipment installed here last summer has made this a winner of a trail.
  Lucifer's Leap OPEN - YES Great snow can usually be found here. Take that leap of faith and come dance with the devil!
  Whip OPEN - YES A slightly steeper slope than Pied Piper that provides quick access to; Main Street, Nuthatch or Crosstown.
  Chute OPEN - YES Hint - this is one of the least used trails on the mountain - take it for a quick spin or just a quick diversion!
  Race Course OPEN

Friday Night YES Midweek you'll find a free race course available almost daily. On weekends we offer a paid course in the afternoon and race training for our race team kids in the morning.

- YES Tubing has 7 lanes ready. Most children ages 4 and up will enjoy this activity. We have 200 tubes and a handle tow that drags you on your tube up to the starting point of the chutes. Although some kids choose to walk up so they can get more runs in. They'll sleep well after a few hours in the tubing center.
