SNOW CONDITIONS / WEATHER

All 22 Trails are OPEN with Machine Groomed Packed Powder snow. The last storm gave us 2" of fresh snow.

LIFT TICKETS: Midweek/Non-Holiday are: $25for Adult, $20 Jr. & $15 for Kids (excluding Presidents week holiday Feb. 13-21).
Weekends/Presidents holiday week $55 Adult, $45 Jr./Sr. & $20 for Kids.

LIFT HOURS: 9a to 4p Midweek.
8:15a to 4p on weekends & daily over the Presidents week holiday period (Feb. 13 - 21).

TUBING: Lift & 7 Chutes run 10a to 8p Saturday Feb. 13 daily right through Sat. Feb 20th.
Tubing will then be open 10a to 5p on Sunday Feb. 21st.

SNOWMAKING: The crew will be back at it again tonight, freshing up conditions on a few trails.

The Bumps/Moguls on Downspout are back. Main Street will see them groomed in early next week.

SNOWMAKING FACTS:
At peak we had 175 snowguns blasting. The pumps were pushing upwards of 3,350 GPM (gallons of water per minute). Think about it - that's a lot of water.

Snowfall	SNOW: A Storm is brewing for Wednesday and could deliver us anywhere between 3" to 7" or as much as 10" to 12". YTD Natural Snow TOTAL 41" for winter 2009-10. NOTE: Ski Butternut usually averages 100 to 110" of natural snow each winter!
Surface	BASE: 24" - 48" Machine Groomed - PP. Please understand whenever temperatures eclipse 32 degrees that the mornings snow will become WP as a result of the warmer temperatures and skier traffic. Trails OPEN	All 22 = 100% OPEN - the 1st mountain in NE this year to open 100% of it's trail network by snowmaking power alone!
Lifts OPEN	10 on Weekends: 3 Quads: Top Flight Quad - High Line Quad & Cruiser Quad Chairlifts, the Triple Chair, Paddy's double chairlift, 4 Carpets and the Tubing Center handle tow. 4-8 midweek: Top Flight Quad, Triple Chair, Paddy's double chairlift and as needed 2 to 4 Carpets. The Highline Quad usually opens around 1:30 in the afternoon to assist with our local school programs.
Weather	WEATHER: Tuesday - Mostly Sunny! Temps at 9 a.m. 19 degrees rising to a high of 30 degrees. Winds out of the WNW at 5 to 7 mph. FORECAST: Wednesday - SNOW STORM! Temps at 9 a.m. 22 degrees rising to a high of 28 degrees. Snow throughout the day. Projections vary right now possibility of 3 to 7 inches or as much as 10 to 12 inches. Hand & Toe Warmers along with Turtle Fur Neckies can drastically cut the chill, available in the Butternut Ski Shop.

Upper Applejack	OPEN	-	YES	Enjoy this slightly more challenging start to a true classic New England style trail! One of Channing's favorite trails.
Lower Applejack	OPEN	-	YES	Finish on this classic NE trail as it winds through stately hemlocks & birch trees.
Hob Nob	OPEN	-	YES	Show off your style to those on the Top Flight Quad chairlift. Definitely worth a run most mornings! Leads you right to the Lower Lodge.
Main Street	OPEN Slope to be closed on Sunday Feb. 7th for Interclub Race.	Friday Night	YES	A wide-open steeper section of the trail offers plenty of challenge and fun!
Twist	OPEN	Sunday Night & Monday	YES	See the terrain Park report below.
Fiddler	OPEN	Thursday Night	YES	Provides easiest access to Lower Downspout and the Triple chairlift. A very pretty trail - great views of the Housatonic valley!
Freewheeler	OPEN	Thursday Night	YES	A great place to let them fly! This is my favorite trail on the mt. for all out cruising. The new snowmaking equipment installed here last summer has made this a winner of a trail.
Lucifer's Leap	OPEN	-	YES	Great snow can usually be found here. Take that leap of faith and come dance with the devil!
Whip	OPEN	-	YES	A slightly steeper slope than Pied Piper that provides quick access to; Main Street, Nuthatch or Crosstown.
Chute	OPEN	-	YES	Hint - this is one of the least used trails on the mountain - take it for a quick spin or just a quick diversion!
Race Course	OPEN Slope to be closed on Sunday Feb. 7th for Interclub Race.	Friday Night	YES	Midweek you'll find a free race course available almost daily. On weekends we offer a paid course in the afternoon and race training for our race team kids in the morning.

Tubing Center Cost $18 for 2hrs of fun! SAVE $5 with our online coupon.	OPEN Weekends & Holidays	-	YES	Tubing has 7 lanes ready. Most children ages 4 and up will enjoy this activity. We have 200 tubes and a handle tow that drags you on your tube up to the starting point of the chutes. Although some kids choose to walk up so they can get more runs in. They'll sleep well after a few hours in the tubing center.

Top Flight Quad	OPEN	Weekend & holidays 8:15am - 4pm Midweek (non holiday) 9am - 4pm	This lift takes you to the 1800ft summit of Warner mountain! Look for the WISHING TREE a few hundred yards from the summit on the right - It'll be laced with beads.
Highline Quad Over Main St.	OPEN	WE & Holidays 8:15am - 4pm MW 1:30 to 4pm	Also open mid-week as needed for our afternoon school programs and on busy days.
Overbrook Triple	OPEN	WE & Holidays 9:30am - 3:30pm MW 9:30am - 3:30pm	Serves some beautiful intermediate and expert terrain on the right side of our mountain!
Paddy Wagon Double	OPEN	WE & Holidays 8:15am - 4pm MW 9am - 4pm	Serves the beginner hill and learning terrain.
Scooter Double	Closed	WE & Holidays 9:30am - 3:30pm only if needed!	Serves the beginner hill and learning terrain. As a result of our addition of 4 carpet lifts in this area - this lift will rarely run.
Cruiser Quad	OPEN	WE & Holidays 8:15am - 4pm	An ideal place to head when you know how to turn and stop. Great for families with young kids.
Poma Lift	Closed	only if needed.	With the Main Street Quad there is little reason to open the Poma.
SKIwee FLYING CARPET #4	OPEN	WE & Holidays 9am - 4pm	Take them here and watch them smile!
Beginner Flying Carpet #1	OPEN	WE & Holidays 8:30am - 4pm MW 1:30am - 4pm - as needed	This gentle carpet lift is easy for kids and all beginners to ride!
Beginner Flying Carpet #2	OPEN	WE & Holidays 8:30am - 4pm MW 1:30am - 4pm - as needed	This is step 2 for beginners - come here when you graduate from carpet lift #1.
Beginner Flying Carpet #3	OPEN	WE & Holidays 8:30am - 4pm MW 1:30am - 4pm - as needed	Step 3 - You are now riding from the top of the beginner hill. Master this and you'll graduate to the chairlifts. Your next challenge will be learning to ride Paddy's or the Scooter chairlifts.
Tubing Center	OPEN Weekends & Holidays	HOURS: 10am to 8pm - Saturdays & over the Presidents week holiday period: 2/13 - 2/20/2010. 10am to 5pm - Sunday Feb 21st - (Note: extended hours till 8 p.m. on the folowing Sundays 12/27, 1/17 & 2/14/2010) 10am to 5pm - MLK Monday Jan. 18, 2010. 11am to 4pm - Christmas Day - Dec. 25, 2009.
