SNOWMAKING FACTS:
At peak we had 175 snowguns blasting.
The pumps were pushing upwards of 3,350 GPM (gallons of water per minute). Think about it - that's a lot of water.

  Upper Applejack Closed - YES Enjoy this slightly more challenging start to a true classic New England style trail! One of Channing's favorite trails.
  Lower Applejack Closed - YES Finish on this classic NE trail as it winds through stately hemlocks & birch trees.
  Hob Nob Closed - YES Show off your style to those on the Top Flight Quad chairlift. Definitely worth a run most mornings! Leads you right to the Lower Lodge.
  Main Street OPEN - YES A wide-open steeper section of the trail offers plenty of challenge and fun! With a race course located on the steeper section.
  Twist OPEN - YES See the terrain Park report below.
  Fiddler OPEN - YES
Provides easiest access to Lower Downspout and the Triple chairlift. A very pretty trail - great views of the Housatonic valley!
  Freewheeler OPEN - YES A great place to let them fly! This is my favorite trail on the mt. for all out cruising. The new snowmaking equipment installed here last summer has made this a winner of a trail.
  Lucifer's Leap OPEN - YES Great snow can usually be found here. Take that leap of faith and come dance with the devil!
  Whip Closed - YES A slightly steeper slope than Pied Piper that provides quick access to; Main Street, Nuthatch or Crosstown.
  Chute Closed - YES Hint - this is one of the least used trails on the mountain - take it for a quick spin or just a quick diversion!
  Race Course Closed - YES Midweek you'll find a free race course available almost daily. On weekends we offer a paid course in the afternoon and race training for our race team kids in the morning.
  West Way Closed - YES See the Terrain Park report below.
  Downspout - No More BUMPS / MOGULS for this year : View Pictures Closed - YES usually with BIG SOFT Moguls on the steep section! Enjoy the steeper pitch home of our steepest bump run. Cruise down the remaining corduroy and if you like hit the Jersey Booter bottom right.

I'm told to expect the following for this the final weekend: 1 Picnic Table, 3 Boxes, Triple Corrigated, 20ft Box, 20ft Rail, NEW - Wall ride as a Dance Floor, two 20ft rails, 2 Jumps.

Tubing Center

CLOSED - - CLOSED - Tubing offers up to 7 lanes. Most children ages 4 and up will enjoy this activity. We have 200 tubes and a handle tow that drags you on your tube up to the starting point of the chutes. Although some kids choose to walk up so they can get more runs in. They'll sleep well after a few hours in the tubing center.

Non-holiday Mondays through Fridays The Ski Butternut Tubing Center will be CLOSED. Tubing Center will be open Mon. through Fridays over the Christmas, MLK & the President's holiday periods as indicated above.

Tubing is CLOSED for the season.
Next winter we will be OPEN Saturdays & Sundays, and DAILY over the Christmas, MLK & Presidents week school holiday periods.
